On 2 and 3 July 2015 visited Professor Steve Evans and Dr. Dai Morgan from the Centre for Industrial Sustainability (EPSRC) from the UK the Collaborative Research Center 1026 “Sustainable Manufacturing – Shaping Global Value Creation” in the Production Technology Center (PTZ) Berlin for an exchange of experience.
As part of the Graduate College Prof. Evans and Dr. Morgan presented the EPSRC Centre for Industrial Sustainability and introduced in the scientific perspectives and approaches of the Centre. Following the CRC presented its guests, results of own research in the test field based on live demonstrations.
Theoretical models discussed coordinator Professor Rainer Stark and CEO Johannes Seidel in her lecture”Successful Ways to change mindsets and behaviors toward sustainability in industry and society – what is the role of research and science”.
On the second day, the SFB-core team with Professor Evans and Dr Morgan on best practices of the organization in a large research and internal collaboration exchanged. Before the academic staff to a workshop on the subject of value came together.
Based on the discussions points were defined for further cooperation. The parties will take up the challenge of sustainability research together, including with the help of various research approaches.
